On July 2nd, President Lyndon Johnson signed a bill that desegregated America, that made it illegal to say you can’t eat here or you can’t go to school here because of someone’s gender or skin color.
Before the bill was signed, before Lyndon B. Johnson was elected as president, people were hosting sit-ins at restaurants - they were getting put in jail but they kept trying so that the USA could get desegregated

- Rosa Parks (1913–2005) – American NAACP official, activist, Montgomery Bus Boycott inspiration She died by natural causes.
- Nelson Mandela (1918–2013) – South African statesman, leading figure in anti-apartheid movement, inspiration he died of Respiratory Infection.
- (1929–1968) – SCLC co-founder /president/chairman, activist, author, speaker and an inspiration. He was assassinated. Martin Luther King, Jr.
It is hard to believe that one signature can change so much. But it can...
